Episode 149: Winter Tour 2003 (Part 1)

It's time for another deep dive into a tour, this time it's Winter Tour 2003. This is a two-part episode, so we'll be back with part two next week.

This is a tour that has a lot of contradictions—some overlooked shows, one of the best shows ever. Some less than perfect playing, some of the best jamming you'll hear. We break it down show by show and bring you plenty of music.

BIG CYPRESS! As we mention in the episode, we're embarking on a big retrospective this year with our friends from Osiris. We want your thoughts, memories, videos, photos, whatever you have to share. They will be put to good use. Read more about it here, and email us at bigcypress at osirispod dot com. We look forward to hearing from you.

Here's a link to the Jerry print we mentioned in the episode.

This week we hop in the time machine and take a trip back to 1992 to talk about and listen to some of a show from Providence, 3/13/92. This tour featured a lot of debuts from "Rift" and some really great early jamming that would preview jams to come.

You can read more about this month from Phish's perspective on Phish.com.

Episode 147: Thank You for Sharing

This week, we're bringing you something a little different. Two longtime listeners, Jason and Mike, join us to talk about an important topic—their experiences with addiction and recovery, and their experiences in the Phish community. We also play some music.

You may have read the GQ article that came out yesterday, which featured Trey and a bunch of other musicians talking about how to thrive creatively without drinking or doing drugs. Also mentioned in this episode are The Phellowship and Trey's drug court speech from 2011.

And here's the link to the Phish.Net article about the new Amy's Farm video. Support Mockingbird if you can!
