Episode 37: Guest Pick - Phish 8.15.11

This week we we're thrilled to be joined by Justin Bolognino, to play and discuss a fantastic "mystery box" of a show, Set 2 of 8.15.11 in Chicago. Chapter markers and setlist below.

Justin is a great member of the Phish community and one thing worth noting is that he and his team created a video mashup of the 99 potential albums leading up to Halloween '09. Fantastic stuff!

While listening to lots of shows and recording this podcast every couple of weeks, sometimes we don't get the chance to acknowledge how every Phish show really is a "mystery box." Do they have intentions with what they're playing? Are they trying to tell us something? Is there any meaning beyond the songs themselves? This "elemental" set from 2011 is one of the most mysterious and intriguing of those types of shows. Check it out and decide for yourself.

As usual, please review us on iTunes, and send comments and feedback to helpingfriendlypodcast at gmail dot com, and follow us on Twitter @hfpod. And check out CashorTrade.org for face value tickets to shows across the country.
